The Performance and Monster team handles use the exact same materials (ie. Rope, handle and 11” end caps). Besides price, the difference in the two handles has to do with braiding. The Monster team handle uses a double braid 4 rope construction; meaning, there are two ropes (one inside the other) all the way down and past the “V” of the handle which essentially makes 4 braided ropes just past the “V”.
The Performance Team handle uses a single braid 2 rope construction; meaning, there is one rope all the way down and past the “V” of the handle which essentially makes 2 braided ropes just past the “V”. The Monster team handle would be a better fit for a tournament level skier. The Performance team handle would be better suited, because of price, for a recreational skier.
